Installation Instructions for WE4X739

Tools Needed:

• Screwdriver

1. Unplug appliance and/or turn off circuit breakers to prevent electrocution.
2. Remove four console screws at the top.
3. Tilt console forward and lift to get tabs out.
4. Open dryer door, remove two screws securing the top panel to the front panel, close door.
5. Lift top slightly, pull, and set aside.
6. Remove the two screws that hold in the front panel, pull front panel forward and release it from the locking tabs at the bottom of the dryer.
7. Remove two screws holding the panels located toward the bottom.
8. Next, is removing the drum. If the belt is still on, reach in to take the belt off the idler and motor pulley. With the left hand lift the drum and with the right-hand reach in, pull the idler pulley down towards the middle, and reach in with the other hand to release it from the motor pulley.
9. Next, remove the drum from the dryer, by lifting the belt and guiding the drum to the outside.
10. The gas valve and igniter are located on the right-hand side of the dryer, remove the screw securing the igniter. Reach in to take out the igniter.
11. Once out, disconnect the wire harness with a flat head screwdriver. *Be careful with the gray part of the igniter as it is very fragile and delicate! *
12. To replace the igniter, plug in the wire harness, place igniter back in its original position, and replace screw.
13. Replace the drum, route the belt back to the pulleys by pulling the idler pulley down with one hand and with the other hand place the belt through the pulley.
14. Replace the two screws that hold the panel to the silver plate, place front panel back on and place screws. Replace the top making sure all tabs go in their proper slots.
15. Replace screws holding the top panel to the front panel, close door.
16. Replace the control board and reattach the fours screws securing the control panel.
17. Once screws are tightened, plug in appliance and appliance is set to go.
