Installation Instructions – Replacement Water Inlet Valve for SNAP Supply, LLC’s products W10408179

Tools Needed:

Phillips Head Screwdriver

Wrench

Razorblade

1. Unplug your refrigerator.
2. Turn off your water line to the refrigerator.
3. Pull off the bottom back plate, remove screws to gain access.
4. Unscrew the nut holding onto the water supply line, remove the water line.
5. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the water valve into place on the frame of the refrigerator.
6. Pull the valve out, and remove the wiring from the water valve.
7. Remove the tubing from the water valve, taking note of what lines go where on the valve.
8. Pry the 2 parts of the water supply unit apart .
9. Depending upon your refrigerator model, you may need to alter your water lines to accept the new inlet valve.
10. The new inlet valve is equipped with a lock that doesn’t require a tension nut, if your refrigerator line has nuts still locked onto the line, carefully cut just below those nuts so that the tube has a perfectly straight cut.
11. Once the lines are cut, simply push them into place to lock the valves into place.
12. With the water lines connected, reconnect the wiring plugs to the valve, note that one set of plugs is smaller than the other.
13. The tension lock between the two pieces of the assembly isn’t possible, instead the 2 screws holding the assembly to the frame of the refrigerator are what hold the assembly in place.
14. Reattach the water line to the inlet valve, tightening the tension nut as necessary.
15. Test run water through the system, if it leaks, you may have to edit your water line connections.
16. Replace the backplate of the refrigerator and screw it into place.
17. Turn your water line back on.
18. Plug in your appliance.
19. Run 2-3 gallons of water through your water dispenser to ensure a completely cleaned out system.
