Installation Instructions for WR57X10051

Tools Needed:

• ½ inch wrench
• Flat end screwdriver
• Razor blade

1. Unplug appliance and/or turn off circuit breakers to prevent electrocution.
2. Turn water supply off.
3. Place a towel on the floor to prevent messes. Remove the back lower panel off, remove copper tubing that supplies water to the valve with a wrench.
4. Remove the two quarter inch screws. Pull valve out and pull out wire connectors.
5. You will be disconnecting the water lines except for one see image below. Disconnect the water lines, there are two different sizes, 5/16^th and ¼ inch. Be sure to know where each of them belongs. Use a wrench to take out the compression fitting line. The part that is connected to the water line that was not disconnected does not need to be changed, with a flat end screwdriver, separate the two pieces.

6. To install the new water valve, take note of the differences of the old and new valves. With a razor blade cut the water lines just below the O rings, making sure they are cut evenly. Push in water lines until they lock into place.
   • If needing to take out the hose for any reason, you must push in the gray part and then pull out the hose.

          Then, screw in the compression fitting line.

7. The part and water line that was not changed, need to go in between the two water lines that are right next to each other. Reconnect the wire connectors based on the size of them.
8. Place in assembly and the part that was not changed, is going to be held in place along with the assembly with the screw that goes on the side of the machine.
9. Next, place in the copper tubing, turn on water supply to run two to three gallons through the system to flush the system and to make sure there are no leaks.
   • If there is leaks then, remove the water valve and check if there is any damage.
10. Replace the back cover on and secure with screws.
11. Plug in appliance and installation is complete.
