Installation Instructions
Installation Instructions for 8273992
Tools Needed:
- Screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Pliers
- Unplug appliance and/or turn off circuit breakers to prevent electrocution.
- Open oven door, remove screws that hold the cooktop, lift cooktop and slide it to one side in order to release its rear hinge from its bracket.
- Take picture of how wires are connected for future reference.
- Using the flat head screwdriver remove the wires from old element. Using pliers remove the mounting clips and then remove the old element. Remove the mounting brackets from the old element located in the back of the element. Be sure to know where the brackets go, they are labeled by numbers.
- With the new element, place the mounting brackets in their correct place by number (18 and 54). Place new element in its position, push in mounting clips into the slots labeled “1-3”.
- Connect the wires into the wire terminals. If needed, refer to picture taken earlier.
- Next, is placing the cooktop back, place the cooktop at a ninety-degree angle place it into position, slide into the opposing mounting bracket, make sure it is properly installed and lower cooktop.
- Open oven door, place back in the two screws holding the cooktop, close door.
- Turn on appliance.
