Installation Instructions for 12002646

1. Unplug your oven.
2. Remove the stovetop element and drip pans from the stovetop.
3. Using a nut screw, unscrew the ceramic terminal block from its mounting station in the stovetop.
4. If you don’t have enough wire in the bad terminal block, you will need to lift up your stovetop cover to access the wiring.
   1. Lifting your stovetop may consist of unlatching locking tabs located in the seam of your stovetop, or possibly unscrewing retaining latches and rotating upward.
   2. You may also have a heatshield you need to remove to gain access to the terminal block, it is likely to be screwed in and blocking access to the terminal block.
      1. If necessary, when unscrewed, remove the heat shield.
5. With the terminal block exposed, cut around 4” from the terminal block of wiring to ensure that any bad wiring is also removed from the assembly.
6. On both the terminal block wiring in the oven and the new terminal block, strip the wiring and connect each wire end with one a wire nut, taking the L bracket and putting into the terminal block to fit your range heating element.
7. Mount the terminal block back into position.
   1. If necessary, do this before reinstalling the heatshield.
      1. To reinstall the heat shield, simply screw into place.
8. Drop the stovetop back into position, locking tabs or screwing back into position as necessary.
9. With the stovetop lowered back into place, reinsert the drip pan into position and reinsert the heating element, sliding it into place in the terminal block.
10. Plug your appliance back in and test to ensure the repair was done correctly.
